THE ULTIMATE ANTIOXIDANT

As an antioxidant itself, and a precursor to the most important antioxidant in the body, Glutathione, NAC protects cells from damage caused by the excessive oxidative stress that results from inflammatory states, chronic disease, prolonged strenuous exercise, pollution exposure and generalized stress.

It is well documented that NAC minimizes the liver damage caused by the overuse of certain pharmaceutical drugs and the acute exposures to environmental chemicals. NAC does all this with the help of Selenomethionine, by way of replenishing the body's own antioxidant, glutathione, via the glutathione redox system.

NAC also has the ability to reduce the viscosity of mucus, and stimulates the clearing of mucus from the airways. This makes NAC a valuable component of any respiratory symptom-management program where congestion occurs.

Af the same time, NAC protects the lungs from the damaging effects of inhaled pollutants. NAC supports heart health in a myriad of ways, with the capacity to support healthier homocysteine and lipoprotein A levels, two biomarkers associated with cardiovascular disease when they are elevated.

Conditions that may benefit from NAC supplementation include:

  • Asthma
  • Chronic bronchitis
  • Cystic fibrosis
  • Emphysema
  • Exposure to pollutants
  • Endurance Sports
  • Fatty Live Disease
  • Heart Disease
  • Pharmaceutical use
  • Respiratory Congestion
